Then we are joined by Reverend Dr. Richard Dannenfelser – Clinical Psychologist, Presbyterian Minister, Vietnam Veteran and ten year WaterFire volunteer who will be sharing his insights on the WaterFire event, his role as a volunteer, his observations as to how WaterFire effects members of the community, his connection to specific events such as the WaterFire Salute to Veterans.

Flames of Hope & Machines with Magnets

The Gloria Gemma Foundation’s Flames of Hope a Celebration of Life and exploring the local arts scene in Pawtucket, RI.

Brown is joined by Gary Calvino, director of development, from the Gloria Gemma Breast Cancer Resource Foundation. Gary will be talking about breast cancer awareness month and the special celebration that is coming up on October 11th, 2014 with the Flames of Hope Celebration of Life event at WaterFire Providence.

Saluting RI Educators & Engaging Visitors

A Salute to Rhode Island Educators, Engaging RI visitors with the PWCVB, and the 2014 Land Trust Alliance Rally.

Our first guest on the show is Deborah Gist, the RI Commissioner of Education. On September 27th WaterFire Providence will be presenting our annual Salute to Rhode Island Educators, this event is presented in coordination with the Rhode Island Department of Education. The Salute to Educators will feature the Innovation in Education: A Showcase of Success in RI, on the Washington Street Bridge, highlighting local educational institutions and programs that are producing positive outcomes for students of all levels through innovation and leadership.

Celebrating Chinese culture at WaterFire

A Celebration of Chinese culture at WaterFire and Supporting the arts through preservation.

Our guest the first portion of the show was Dr. Hong Yang, Bryant University’s vice president for international affairs and director of Bryant’s U.S.-China and Confucius Institute. The Confucius Institute will be presenting a showcase of Chinese culture at the WaterFire lighting on September 27th, 2014.

Barnaby and Bronwyn will be joined in the studio by Eric Auger and Joe Pari, the creative duo behind the masks at Ten31 Productions. Ten31’s gargoyles and other lively characters have been enthralling crowds at WaterFire for many years and even claim to have been born at WaterFire. Eric and Joe will be discussing the creative process behind their mysterious creations and highlighting their upcoming event, MYSTERIUM The Eternal Masquerade, being held on October 31st at the Providence Public Library.

The return of the WaterFire Ballroom

Celebrating 150 years of the Providence Police Department with the return of the WaterFire Ballroom and lighting up the night with National Grid.

Bronwyn and Barnaby are joined by Providence Police Chief  Hugh Clements, Marisa Albanese from National Grid, and band leader Roger Ceresi from Roger Ceresi’s All Starz! The WaterFire Providence lighting on August 9th, sponsored by National Grid, was special for two reasons: first was celebrating the 150th anniversary of the incorporation of the Providence Police Department and second it marked the return of the WaterFire Ballroom for the first time since 2012.
