Fun holiday cocktails and mocktails (non-alcoholic) from Little Bitte:
Two Holiday Mocktails (non-alcoholic):
Hibiscus Sparkler
Brew 1 cup hibiscus tea and steep for 20 minutes and sweeten with 1 tablespoon honey. Let cool. Pour 2 ounces over ice & top with sparkling water. Garnish with citrus wheel: mandarin, kumquat, tangerine.
Take advantage of the citrus that’s coming into season!
Glassware: Highball glass
Cassis Limonata (Sparkling Black currant lemonade)
.5 oz organic cassis juice
.5 oz lemon juice
Sweeten & dissolve 1 tablespoon honey in the solution.
Add ice & top with sparkling water.
Garnish with a lemon wheel & a fresh sprig of mint
Glassware: Champagne flute
Two Holiday Cocktails:
Clementina Margarita
2oz Tequila
.5 oz triple sec (Grand Marnier or Cointreau is great)
.5 oz fresh lime juice
1 oz fresh clementine juice
Garnish with a clementine wheel
Preparation: Shake the ingredients except the garnish and pour over fresh ice in a rocks glass.
Glassware: Rocks glass
*The brilliance of this cocktail is that it’s a traditional sour recipe so you can substitute any spirit for the base liquor: vodka, gin, rum or whiskey. Choose your favorite and elaborate from there!
Mimosa del Sole
.5 oz fresh blood orange juice
.5 oz Giffard Ginger of the Indies or Canton Ginger Liqueur
Top with sparkling wine like Cava or Prosecco
Garnish with a blood orange wheel
